1. Overview

FaithTask ("the App") is a faith-based productivity application developed by Grace Code ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

When you use FaithTask, we collect:

• Account information: Email address and display name, used for authentication and personalization.
• Task data: Tasks, projects, due dates, and completion status that you create within the app.
• Preferences: Your settings such as notification preferences, Bible translation choice, dark mode preference, and quiet hours.
• Device information: Basic device type (iOS/Android/Web) for delivering notifications appropriately.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect contacts or phone book data.
• We do not collect photos, camera, or microphone data.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
• We do not use tracking or analytics SDKs that profile your behavior across other apps.

4. How We Use Your Data

• Authentication: To create and secure your account via Supabase (our database provider).
• Core functionality: To store and sync your tasks, projects, and Bible verse matches across your devices.
• Notifications: To send you task reminders, overdue alerts, and daily digest emails (only if you opt in).
• AI verse matching: Your task titles are sent to a language model API (Groq) to match relevant Bible verses. Only the task title is sent — no personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

FaithTask uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and database hosting. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Groq — AI language model for Bible verse matching (receives only task titles). Groq Privacy Policy
• Resend — Email delivery for notifications and digests. Resend Privacy Policy

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase's cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Access to your data is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies, ensuring only you can access your own data.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual tasks and projects at any time within the app.

Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the app by navigating to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This will immediately and permanently remove your profile, all projects, tasks, preferences, and authentication data. This action cannot be undone.

You may also request account deletion by contacting us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

FaithTask is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g., email notifications).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
